1. Scope and provider
These terms apply to the use of the Interpsy platform by clients and therapists.
Provider: M. Onur Sentepe (Einzelunternehmen — Interpsy), Laxenburger Straße 2D/1/4, 1100 Wien, Österreich. Email: legal@interpsy.at.
By registering or booking, you accept these terms in the version valid at the time of booking.
2. What Interpsy does
Interpsy is a matching platform: we make profiles of psychotherapists, clinical psychologists and psychological counsellors visible and organise booking, payment and the video session.
The treatment or counselling contract is concluded solely between you and the therapist you choose. The therapist is responsible for the content and conduct of the session under their professional regulations.
Interpsy does not diagnose, does not give medical advice and is not a medical device under the EU MDR.
Interpsy is not a crisis or emergency service. In acute danger, call 144 (ambulance) or 112. TelefonSeelsorge is available 24/7 on 142.
3. Account and booking
To book, you need an account with a valid email address. Your login details are personal.
A selected time slot is reserved for you for 10 minutes. The booking is binding once payment is completed and you receive a confirmation.
Some therapists confirm requests personally. Until then, the amount is only authorised, not charged. If a request is declined, we release the authorisation in full.
Sessions take place online by video. You need a device with camera, microphone, an up-to-date browser and a stable internet connection.
4. Free intro call
Many therapists offer a free 10–20-minute intro call. One free intro call is possible per therapist. It is free of charge and does not commit you to further sessions.
5. Prices and payment
Each therapist sets their own session price, which is shown before booking. There is no subscription — you pay per session.
Payments are processed by the payment provider Mollie B.V. Interpsy does not store card numbers or bank details.
The amount is passed on to the therapist only after the session.
6. Cancellation by clients
You can cancel a booked session in your dashboard before it starts. What counts is the time we receive your cancellation.
- Up to 24 hours before the start: full refund of the session price.
- Less than 24 hours before the start: refund of 50% of the session price.
- No-show without cancellation: no refund.
7. Cancellation or no-show by the therapist
If the therapist cancels or does not join within 20 minutes of the start, you receive the full session price back.
8. Technical problems
If a session does not take place, or only partly, because of technical problems, please report it right after the session via the session page or your dashboard — ideally within 24 hours.
We review every case using the connection data. If the cause lies with Interpsy or our video provider, you receive the full session price back. In other cases we decide on a full, partial or no refund depending on the cause; a replacement session may also be offered.
9. How refunds are processed
Refunds are made via Mollie to the original payment method. Depending on the payment method, it may take a few business days for the amount to appear.
If the amount was only authorised, we release the authorisation — nothing is charged.
10. Terms for therapists
- Profiles are published only after your professional licence and submitted documents have been reviewed. Please tell us promptly about any change to your licence.
- You provide your services independently and on your own responsibility under your professional regulations.
- You can offer free intro calls regardless of payment setup. Paid sessions can only be booked once your Mollie account is connected and enabled for payouts.
- You set your own prices. From every amount paid through Interpsy, Interpsy retains the platform service fee (section 11); the rest is paid out to your connected Mollie account after the session.
- If you cancel or do not show up, the client receives the full session price back and there is no payout for that session.
- If a client does not attend a paid session, your fee is paid out as usual.
- For technical problems: if the cause lies with Interpsy or the video provider, you receive the full fee. If it lies on your side, there is no fee. If it is unclear or on both sides, you receive 50% of your fee, up to €50.
11. Platform service fee (therapists)
For the platform's services – payment processing, video room, scheduling, receipts, visibility and marketing – Interpsy retains a platform service fee from every amount paid through Interpsy (sessions, events, memberships). It is not a payment for referring individual clients and is not charged per client.
There are two tiers: the standard rate ("Standard – gained through Interpsy") and a reduced rate ("Reduced – your own clients"), which applies as a rebate when you bring in clients yourself. You can see the current level of both tiers at any time in your account under "Earnings". The rates are net; if Interpsy is liable for VAT, statutory VAT (currently 20%) is added.
The tier is set at a client's first contact with you on Interpsy: if they come to you through your personal link, the reduced rate applies to that client; otherwise the standard rate applies. This assignment stays in place; Interpsy corrects it only in case of a demonstrable error and documents every correction. Discount codes do not affect the tier.
Every booking keeps the service fee that applied when it was booked. The fee is retained at payout; you receive a monthly fee statement in your account.
Founding programme: for up to 20 therapists selected by Interpsy, the platform service fee is capped at 15% for 12 months. This cap can only lower a fee, never raise it.
We notify you of increases to the platform service fee and of changes to these terms at least 30 days before they take effect, by email and in your account. You may terminate the contract until the change takes effect. Reductions may apply immediately.
Neither the tier nor the founding programme affects your visibility or ranking on Interpsy. Events are listed by date; highlighted entries are chosen by the editorial team.
12. Respectful use
Please use Interpsy respectfully and only for its intended purpose. Sessions must not be recorded without the explicit consent of everyone involved. Interpsy does not record sessions.
We may suspend accounts that breach these terms or the law.
13. Contact and changes
Questions about booking, cancellation or refunds: legal@interpsy.at.
How we process personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
We may update these terms, for example for new features or legal changes. Sessions already booked are governed by the version valid at the time of booking.
